When you have a craving for some Chinese takeout, only the best Chinese food will do. Here in Englewood, FL, we are blessed with some great spots for excellent Chinese food. We’d like to recommend a few of our favorites. If you haven’t tried the spots, tonight’s the night!
China Taste of Wang
It’s got an interesting name and food to match it. This is a delightful place located at 4276 S. Tamiami Trail in Venice. They open Monday through Thursday from 11 AM to 10 PM, on Friday and Saturday from 11 AM until 10:30 PM, and on Sundays from noon to 10 PM. Give them a call at 941-408-9879 to order takeout.
We particularly recommend their vegetable spring rolls, boneless spareribs, and their special Szechuan wonton. Their house special honey or bourbon chicken will have you coming back for more, and the seafood delight combo is always worth ordering. Their hot and sour soup is also especially good.
China Taste
China Taste is at 329 Jacaranda Blvd in Venice. They open Monday through Saturday at 11 AM and on Sunday at noon. They close every night at 9:30 PM. This place has a wonderful atmosphere, so while you can order online for takeaway, it’s also a good spot to stop in and enjoy authentic Chinese dishes. If you want to call ahead, their number is 941-485-8887.
Their egg rolls are especially good, and the lunch specials that they serve from noon to three are a great deal. Lunch specials come with fried rice and a 12 ounce can of soda. We particularly like the roast chicken with cashews, sweet-and-sour pork, the honey chicken, and the roast pork lo mein. They have a couple of really nice specialties, too, like the Hawaii Five-0. That’s shrimps, scallops, chicken, beef, pork, broccoli, zucchini, green peppers, and mushrooms in a delicious sauce.
China 1
China 1 can be found at 45 N. Indiana Ave in Englewood. They are open from 11 AM until 9 PM Tuesday through Saturday. On Sunday they’re open from noon to 9 PM. They are closed on Monday, so be aware. Call them at 941-473-8867 to order takeout and you can be sure it will be ready when you arrive.
Portion sizes here are generous, you can be confident your order will be right every time, and the service is really friendly. All this, and the prices are some of the best in town, too. We recommend you try the veggie fried rice. The General Tso’s chicken and the egg rolls are also good choices. Their chicken and broccoli is fabulous, too.
